Each week we will cover a new spelling/vocabulary unit. These words will be used throughout the week during writing and ELA discussions. Each night, the students will use the words to complete a menu choice from the Homework Menu that is in their binders. A dictation test will be given on Thursdays. The students will have to spell the words correctly, as well as use them in sentences that they create.
We will also have a Word Study Word for each day that the students will use a graphic organizer to create their own sentences. We will have a test on Friday on the four words introduced for that week.
